LGED at a formal ceremony at its headquarters distributed Hydraulic Beam Lifters, Vacuum Cleaners and Dumping Trucks to the incumbent Mayors of 38 Paurashavas on 12 November 2014. Chaired by LGED Chief Engineer, Md. Wahidur Rahman, the ceremony was attended by Senior Secretary of Local Government, Division (LGD) Monzur Hossain,  as Chief Guest.  Special guest LGED Additional Chief Engineer, Shyama Prosad Adhikari, Project Director, UGIIP-II, Md. Shafiqul Islam Akand,  Other officials of the LGED and Mayors of 38 Paurashavas were also present during the occasion. 



Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement project (UGIIP-II) purchased the trucks with the financial assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB), KfW, and GIZ.  LGED,  UGIIP-II  Project is distributing Hydraulic Beam Lifters, Vacuum Cleaners and Dumping Trucks to the different Paurashavas in the country.
