Mr. Md. Monowar Hossain Chowdhury joined as the new Chief Engineer of LGED w.e.f. May 17, 1999. He stressed that LGED's endeavour in future should be to inculcate concerted efforts for building collective leadership, while ad-tioned that Mr. Md. Monowar Hossain Chowdhury obtained his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from BUET in 1969. He got his M.Sc. degree in Irrigation Engineering from Southampton University of England in 1987 and higher training from USA, Italy, Sweden and Japan. Mr. Chowdhury, visited about 36 countries on various occasions including workshops, seminars and conferences, loan negotiations and study-visits. Mr. Monowar Hossain Chowdhury Joined the Engineering Cell under the Ministry of LGRD&C as Ex-ecutive Engineer in 1974. He became the Superintending Engineer of LGED,in 1990 and joined as Additional Chief Engineer (C.C) in 1993 and Promoted as Additional Chief Engineer in 1998.
